Verizon starting from today will offer prepaid 3G packages for smartphones including Droid X and Droid 2 in Verizon Wireless Communications Store and online from September 28th. Two packages will be available.

The $10 per month plan consists of 25 MB traffic and 20 cent/MB for any extra traffic. This plan is only for multimedia phones.

The other plan is for both multimedia and smartphones and costs $30 per month with unlimited traffic.

These plans need supported devices. Supported multimedia phones: LG enV Touch, LG enV 3, LG Chocolate Touch, LG VX8360, Samsung Alias 2, Samsung Renown, Nokia Twist and Casio Exilim.

Supported smartphones: BlackBerry Curve 8330 and 8530, BlackBerry Storm 9530, BlackBerry Storm 2 9550, BlackBerry Tour 9630, BlackBerry Bold 9650, Palm Pre Plus, Palm Pixi Plus, Motorola Droid, Motorola Devour, Motorola Droid X, Motorola Droid 2, HTC Droid Eris, HTC Droid Incredible and LG Ally.
