It has been confirmed now that Verizon iPhone release should not be expected soon, by Verizon spokesman himself, so at WWDC 2010 opening day Monday, iPhone 4G release is expected with AT&T most likely.
There have been some rumors about a Sprint iPhone 4G in the offing too but we will know for sure when Steve Jobs unveils the new Apple iPhone.
The tech world is rife with expectations of Apple Inc's finally lifting the cover off its newest iPhone on Monday. The new iPhone would be an update of the last one, a product that has become the largest and most lucrative business for a company historically known for its iconic Mac computers.
Although iPhone 4G is an eagerly awaited product, Apple might have a hard time in maintaining the enthusiasm that has whetted investors' appetite and driven its shares to strong gains this year. Apple was left ruing its bad luck when a prototype of the iPhone 4G was lost by one of its employees and later snatched up by Gizmodo which wasted no time in publishing pictures and videos of the prototype.
Rubbing salt to the wound was another leak, this time videos and pictures of another prototype emerged in the least expected place, Vietnam. Now Apple is struggling to provide fresh news to kick off its Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco on Monday.
Apple has rarely failed to astonish the audience before so the observers are of the opinion that Apple might still have an ace or two up its sleeve.
Though the week-long event is geared to application developers focusing on all of the company's products, the show stopper is no doubt the iPhone, which has become the company's most important product since its heralded launch three years ago.
The event's focal point will be a Monday-morning keynote address by CEO Steve Jobs in which he is expected to introduce the latest updates to the iPhone and also the much hyped and equally eagerly awaited Snow Leopard OS. Since the launch of first iPhone in January 2007, Apple has observed this practice ritualistically.
Apple, of course, has refrained from either denying or confirming Monday as the unveiling day of the new iPhone device.
