Edgar's win does not mean that he is the best lightweight champion ever because the division is barely 10 years old and it is likely that some one will soon dethrone Edgar. Penn looked jaded throughout the fight, while Edgar looked motivated and focused. Edgar won the fight in fifth round which shows that Penn put up a good fight.
I am sure that Pen will return and return with a bang. He however, needs to feel motivated as he lacked motivation and motivation is the looming question hanging over his career at the moment. Their is no denying the fact that he is a good fighter, is fast and dangerous, and can beat any lightweight fighter.
Randy Couture Vs James Toney: In Randy Couture Vs James Toney fight, MMA veteran Couture showed Toney that combat sport is no child's play and it is not easy for even a professional boxer like him to defeat a UFC Hall of Famer. Couture thrashed Toney badly and used his skills perfectly to defeat Toney within four minutes. Couture dominated the bout from the beginning and never allowed Toney to land even one punch.
The event was billed as MMA vs Boxing, but it turned out to be a dampener as it was all Couture show and boxer Toney did not look like offering any challenge at all. The fight was lackluster to say the least.
