UFC 118 Results: BJ Penn vs Frankie Edgar 2 Fight Review: The UFC 118 on August 28 was important because it was the UFC event debut in Boston’s TD Garden. Lightweight champion Frankie Edgar will definitely remember the night because he defeated rival BJ Penn to retain the lightweight belt.

Penn Vs Edgar 2 Review: Edgar showed that he deserved the title as he dominated the bout from the beginning and outclassed Penn. Edgar used a stick-and-move game plan to earn the unanimous-decision victory from the judges. Edgar won the fight via scores of 50-45 on all three cards.

The fight was crucial for Penn as well as he wanted to defeat Edgar to take revenge of the loss he suffered at the hands of Edgar in Abu Dhabi during the UFC 112 in April. But Edgar appeared determined to retain his belt and he ultimately succeeded in doing so. “B.J. really brought the best out in me. I knew he was going to come in tough again. It was close the first time, and I just wanted to make a point,” said Edgar.

On his part, Penn admitted that Edgar was better than him. “Frankie fought a great fight. He fought me twice, and he walked away with a decision twice. What can I say?,” said Penn.
