Rumors are rife that Samsung is ready to announce new Galaxy S smartphone at the event, but there is no official confirmation so far.
At the September 16 event Samsung will also showcase its Media Hub platform. The platform is an online/video store created specially for Samsung smartphones. That already sounds exciting.
Samsung is doing very well with its Galaxy S line of phones as more than 1 million Galaxy S devices have been sold in the US till now. The newest release of Galaxy S variant Samsung Epic 4G, touted as the best Android so far, is further expected to add substantially to Galaxy S sales.
With the upcoming release of Samsung Fascinate on Verizon, the Galaxy S sales figures are expected to double.
