Though Motorola and Verizon are basking in the glory of Droid X success with Droid 2 set to come later, another Droid phone may reportedly come, according to some blurred photos and video that have appeared. Analysts infer that the device could be a Motorola Droid with a portrait QWERTY keyboard. Other details are unfortunately not available. There has been no mention of the price or the release date.

The device will probably come with Verizon and for the time being analysts term it as a Motorola mini-Droid. It is similar to Palm Pre with its sliding QWERTY keyboard. Analysts conclude the device could be a Droid as the handset’s boot screen got the glowing red eye. Recently, Motorola has launched two phones with QWERTY keyboards - Flipout and Charm.

Meanwhile, Droid X continues to enjoy unlimited success living up to the hype it generated. Droid X has a 4.3-inch touch screen, 1GHz CPU speed and an 8-megapixel camera that can shoot 720p video. It acts as a mobile hotspot, allowing you to connect up to five compatible Wi-Fi devices to Verizon’s network, such as your laptop, your iPad, or other gadgets, for an extra $20 per month.

Droid X has a Swype software that makes typing faster and accurate. The Droid X runs Android 2.1 with the latest version of Motorola’s MotoBlur extensions and offers a single interface for various accounts, including Google, Facebook and MySpace. However, there has been no figures provided of the number of Droid X units sold since it launch last week.
