Capturing 7 percent of the browser market and influencing competitors with the minimalist design and breath taking speed, Google Chrome has made quite an impact in just two years. New in the field of Web browsing it doesn’t include any earth- shattering features yet it can take you out for a spin, with its new Java Script speed lead and an already trim design. Lets look at new Chrome 6 and the tweaks :
Chrome 6 steps up the ladder with its new and ground breaking new features. Top right of the browse window is cleaner due to the reduced control buttons, that is, just one. Now we have a Wrench Choice to view page icons ad some of its functions.
A new menu has been designed which has a line up of all the Page Options, like Cut, Copy and Paste. Zooming in and out is now neater than before as there is an addition of plus and minus buttons, so that means no more time gone in waiting for Submenus.
Tools menu has gone under a total make over with the inclusion of lots of new options. These options might not delight those who do not get amazed by fly out submenus. I was amazed to the Google’s ‘Create Application Shortcut’ choice, which used to be the top choice of Chrome 5 page menu, now being obscured in Chrome 6.
One can see an interface change in the ‘Omni bar’- it has grown. A new icon has been introduced that changes between indicating search , magnifying glass, to a globe, when you type a URL. The Favorite Star has been shifted from its original place to inside the right side of search box.
