Few weeks ago rumors started floating that Motorola is getting ready to release its two successful Android-powered devices- the Droid 2 and the Droid X, in international markets as the Milestone 2 and the Milestone X, respectively. The move does not seems surprising at all because these devices are doing good business in the US and Motorola must want to offer as many Android smartphones to as many customers possible.
As of today, we can confirm that Motorola is ready to release Milestone 2 and it is likely that the smartphone will come equipped with Motoblur. Nothing is known about Droid X version so far and I think we have to wait for some more time to see if this super-smartphone is heading to European and other international markets.
A video is posted on YouTube talking about Motorola Milestone 2, but the video
hasn’t been posted by Motorola. Let’s assume that the video is genuine then Milestone 2 is basically a Motorola Droid 2 with Motoblur on top. The Milestone 2 will ship loaded with Google’s latest OS - the Android 2.2 a.k.a. Froyo.
The video also shows the main specs and features of the device. The Milestone 2 comes with Motoblur on top and will run on a 1GHz processor. The phone will support Mobile Hotspot capabilities. Talking about storage, it can store up to 40GB of memory. It will have new Droid 2 keyboard, will also support Flash 10.1.
The global release dates and pricing details of the device is still unknown but it is expected that the device will go on sale very soon.
