Singer Katy Perry definitely knows how to attract eyeballs as she turned Rockefeller Center into a real life candy land for her "Today Show" performance yesterday. The West Coast girl was there to promote her new CD "Teenage Dream" which release this week. The Center was full of people of all ages who flocked to watch Perry perform on the "Today" show for the latest installment of her upcoming Toyota Concert Series. Many in the audience were seen wearing colorful wigs to dance and sing along to "California Girls," "Teenage Dream" and a remix of "I Kissed a Girl."

"She was awesome, very creative and colorful," fan Amanda Nunnan said after the show. Perry’s favorite fan Hayley Solomons, whom the singer seemed to recognize from an encounter the day before, was also present in the packed Rockefeller Center. Solomons was given a huge lollypop by Perry. "She just gave it to me when she had a little break in between the songs!," said the tween.

One of Perry’s fan said that the best performance morning was "California Girls," and many other fans also said the same to MTV News. "It makes you want to jump!" said one fan.

Perry is married to comedian Russell Brand. Talking about Brand, Perry says that it feels like Brand is her "partner in crime". "I think there is something to be said for finding your mate who makes you a better individual, and is a support to you. But generally he is just like my partner in crime in some ways because we've both got a wicked sense of humor. We're always pulling pranks on each other,” added the “Teenage Dream” hitmaker.
