Illinois Governor Race Result, Pat Quinn Wins Again Well it is clear that the Democratic Party have been defeated comprehensively and convincingly in their quest for controlling the House of Representatives. That hope of retaining control has been thrown out into thin air and the control of the House has been regained by the Republican Party.

But that is only one part of the story, the other side is determined by the results of the elections that elect the candidates to the Senate and that is one area that is yet to clear up the competition as the race is still very much on. The governors of many a state have not been selected as yet and it is even difficult to say any one candidate is conclusively leading the candidature to the office.

Illinois is one of those states where the office of the governor is still something that is very much up for the grabs. Currently, the office is being held by Pat Quinn of the Democratic Party. Up until now, over three and a half million votes have been cast by the voters and Quinn seems to be still holding on to the lead.

The worrisome matter though is that the lead is only by about 19 or 20 thousand votes from the close second place holder Bill Brady of the Republican Party. Brady is not coming to conclusions just yet and would wait for a whole month to know what the results are going to be.

However, to maintain the rapport with the supporters so as to ensure that they keep supporting him will not be an easy task to accomplish. Not that Quinn would have it any bit easier either though; his lead is not emphatic or convincing either.

He has a deficit of 15 billion dollars for his budget next year and that is one thing that he must find a fix to. Quinn had borrowed nearly 4 billion dollars from the centre to pay pensions for his state which is an issue to be settled by a Senate vote.
