Google has always worked to make things easier for its users worldwide. It once again tries to win the hearts of its followers. How ? Has anybody ever tried reading what the Privacy Policies in a Google’s webpage comprise of ? Many would say no. Google is rewriting its Privacy Policy and making it simpler for their regular user.
"Long, complicated and lawyerly—that's what most people think about privacy policies, and for good reason. Even taking into account that they’re legal documents, most privacy policies are still too hard to understand," Mike Yang, Associate General Counsel at Google, said..
"So we’re simplifying and updating Google’s privacy policies. To be clear, we aren’t changing any of our privacy practices; we want to make our policies more transparent and understandable," he makes clear.
The new version will be revealed and put into effect on October 3rd.There will not be any concrete change in the policy terms, only the text will be in a form that will be easily understood by its users.
Although Google has a Global Privacy Policy for all its products, many of them have added some extra content to them. Google wants to do away with this for 12 of its products and aims have a single common policy for all its products. Google plans to change the main policy in terms of converting it into an easier readable form and getting rid of the weighty legal language. Few important pieces of information might be added, but in a very concise form.
Further, Google will provide a FAQ feature with the full coverage of the new policy for its users. The additions and deletions made while the reconstruction will also get posted for the users.
