Google, which released its browser Chrome in the year 2008 has now announced a new version which promises a simplified interface and much faster speeds. Google has continuously tried to make its browser faster, simpler and safer accross platforms and at the same time provide more and more features to enhance the experience of using Chrome.

In its blog post, Google claims that the new stable version, which was released just yesterday, has three times faster speeds in terms of Javascript performance. It is also more streamlined. The two menus of the earlier version have been combined into one, the URL box and Omnibox have become simpler and cleaner and the color scheme has been adjusted.

Brian Rakowski, a Google product manager writes, “As always, we're hard at work on making Chrome even faster, and working on ways to improve graphics performance in the browser through hardware acceleration, with the Chrome Web Store, we hope to make it much easier to find and use great applications on the Web.”

Rakowski also said that Google has, “ratcheted up the pace of our releases so that we can get new features and improvements to everyone more quickly.” Google has more in store for Chrome in the coming months.

Google released a developer’s preview of its Google Web store last month. The store which will debut in October, will allow developers to upload apps, experiment with packaging and install them in Chrome.
