Frankie Edgar Vs BJ Penn Fight Reviews & UFC 118 Results; What Future Holds For Penn: The UFC 118 was held at Boston on August 28. The event was tagged as the UFC 118 Edgar vs. Penn 2 and it was the first UFC held at the TD Garden in Boston.

The Edgar vs Penn fight will be remembered because it was rematch between two great mixed martial arts fighter in the lightweight bout championship. Edgar was the reigning champion and Penn was out to take revenge of the defeat which he had suffered at the hands of Edgar in April in Abu Dhabi.

Edgar won that fight with scores of 50-45, 49-46 and 48-47, all in his favor. The match lasted until the fifth round and this time also the lightweight champion won via unanimous decision to retain his UFC 118 lightweight champion title. Edgar won with scores of 50-45, 50-45 and 50-45.

Talking to reporters, after the bout, Edgar said, "I feel like I walked on water. I want to thank BJ. He brought the best out of me. Having to prepare for him for eight months has just done nothing but bless my career.” Edgar looked confident from beginning and was active from the word go.

Edgar did well to stop Penn from using his punch combinations and succeeded in raining punches on Penn. The lightweight champion used his takedowns successfully and did well to throw Penn to the mat several times. "I guess it looked like the same kind of fight as the last time, but he got off good," Much respect," said Penn. Edgar will now lock horns with Gray Maynard.
