The Celebrity Apprentice star Bret Michaels' is recovering well from a brain hemorrhage that he suffered last week and it is now expected that Michaels might get fit in time to resume his concert tour in a month.
The Poison singer suffered a massive brain hemorrhage and was admitted in a Los Angeles hospital on April 23.
"Even though yesterday was a minor setback, doctors remain hopeful for a full recovery and plan to release more specific information next Monday," Michaels road manager Janna Elias said in a statement.
The statement also revealed that Michaels suffered a side effect from the brain hemorrhage called "hyponatremia, a condition which is caused due to lack of sodium in the body. It leads to seizures. Elias added that doctors have still not understood the "exact cause of the rupture" in Michaels' brain,
The 47-year-old reality TV star Michaels was the lead singer for the '80s band Poison. Michaels debuted on TV with VH1 show "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels." Elias expressed hope that Michaels' tour would resume from May 26 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, "provided there are no further complications or setbacks."
She added that Michaels' full recovery could take months. "With further testing and rehabilitation, they are hopeful that Bret will gradually improve as the blood surrounding the brain dissolves and is reabsorbed into his system, which can be a very painful recovery and take several weeks to months," she said in a press conference.
