For past 4 days, web is abuzz with reports about leaked information from the hush-hush Verizon meeting where the company reportedly announced 2 things: First changing name of company in marketing campaigns from “Verizon Wireless” to “Verizon” and second that the company is not interested in a Verizon iPhone 4 in near future.

Now how true these reports are, I am not sure. But it is possible that the reports are true. About the Verizon iPhone issue, I have a feeling that may be Verizon is not completely abandoning the idea of releasing Verizon iPhone 4 at some point but it is giving the impression for now to help build market for its latest Android powered phone- Motorola Droid X.
