Verizon iPhone, White iPhone 4 To Release For Real This Time?

The speculations and rumors over the release of a Verizon iPhone simply refuse to die down which began ever since Apple launched its hugely successful smartphone in 2007. But now it seems that the time has come when we start talking seriously about the possibility of Verizon, US largest carrier by subscription, getting Apple’s best selling smartphone. There is another topic which is grabbing headlines lately which is white iPhone 4.

Recently there have been reports that Steve Jobs has hinted at white iPhone 4 becoming available before Christmas this year, in a reply to the email from a high school student. Already Apple had said that it will be availabel later this year.

Tech website Engadget recently reported that the idea of an iPhone on Verizon network has been one of the most wanted things in the cell phone industry, and it is still the top idea. Although the launch of current batch of Android smartphones has taken some sheen away from it, the talks of iPhone on Verizon still continue to grab headlines.

Millions of Verizon customers are waiting eagerly for the release of an iPhone on their network. At present, AT&T is the exclusive carrier of the device in the US and iPhone is definitely the best smartphone in the market despite the presence of so many smartphones of all shapes and sizes.

Although Android-powered devices are doing good business but Android is still considered as a “poor man’s iOS”. Some experts however, maintain that Android devices will soon move ahead of iPhone in terms of sales and Android will emerge as a “superior alternative.”

No one knows for sure that when the iPhone will come to Verizon. Several websites reported recently that a Verizon iPhone will hit the stores in January next year. Neither Apple nor Verizon has said anything in this regard so far.
