Verizon Droid X Review: Motorola Delivers Yet Another Bestseller

Verizon’s Droid X landed Thursday and no doubt it is much in demand. So an in depth Motorola Droid X review, is definitely a good idea. In tune with the hype the smartphone generated, “hundreds” of people queued up at some Verizon retail stores on the first day of Moto Droid X’s release, said Verizon Spokesman. Lets see what the latest  Verizon Droid X phone is all about.

What will attract Motorola Droid X to you is its extra-large 4.3″ 854×480 pixel touchscreen display, which is bright and sharp and perfect for watching videos, experts say. The device is thin but with a thick bulge at the top where the camera is located. If you are okay with the bulge the phone will create in your pocket, then the device suits your perfectly.

The 8-megapixels camera with dual-LED flash uses a mechanical shutter, which is good for taking landscape orientation photos but not for portraits. Otherwise, the camera takes good pictures in daylight, but the same can’t be said about the indoor and low-light pictures, experts say.

If you check the bottom right of the device, you will find a micro USB port for charging and data transfer, and a micro HDMI port for connecting to an HDTV or other HDMI-equipped display. In terms of battery life, Verizon Droid X is a winner. It offers full-day battery life under heavy use and several days on standby.

Another winning feature on the device is Motorola’s messaging application, which has a broad feature set and provides a unified inbox for e-mail, text messages, and social network correspondence.
