Verizon iPhone Release in January 2011, White iPhone 4 Release Likely By Christmas 2010: Reports

Apple is expected to release white iPhone 4 by year end and January 2011 appears to be the month when all the prayers for a Verizon iPhone might get answered. Not sooner than this because Apple did not utter a word in this regard during the last week’s press conference and there seems to be no news of another happening in the very near future. So why zeroing on January for iPhone on Verizon launch?

CDMA Verizon iPhone Coming In January, T-Mobile, Sprint Also Likely Contenders: Reports

Rumor mills have started churning overtime in predicitng Verizon iPhone possibility. This time there is not one but two such rumors that add to the long list of iPhone on Verizon predictions. According to TechCrunch, Apple has ordered “millions of units of Qualcomm CDMA chipsets.” Considering that AT&T uses GSM network, the new developments point that Apple is working on a CDMA iPhone. However, it’s unclear whether it will be Verizon or Sprint who will break AT&T’s exclusivity deal given that both the two carriers use CDMA technology. But, Verizon seems to be the better deal for Apple as the carrier have more mobile subscribers than Sprint. There have been previous reports about T-Mobile as the next likely contender for iPhone after AT&T exclusivity ends.

Apple Procuring CDMA Chips for Verizon iPhone from Qualcomm

So it seems iPhone on Verizon will finally be a reality, if the report is to be believed.

Early Verizon iPhone Release Could Stop Android From Taking Lead Over iPhone?

No one can deny the fact that Android devices are becoming popular across the globe with each passing day and all you non-believers please read this: According to NPD, 33% of smartphones sold in the US during the second quarter of 2010 were running Android, 28% were powered by RIM, and iPhone accounted for 22%. Another research firm, Canalys also claimed the same thing. The logical question that comes to mind is, what could Apple do to avert this scenario. Most experts answer that iPhone on Verizon could be the answer to Android onslaught. So will Verizon iPhone prove to be the savour for Apple?

Demand For Verizon iPhone Unlikely To Be Reigned In By BlackBerry Torch

Speculations are strong that AT&T is positioning the BlackBerry Torch, the latest smartphone out of Canada-based handset maker Research In Motion, as a replacement for when the Big Blue finally loses exclusivity of its flagship device-the hugely popular Apple iPhone. Rumors are abound that once Apple will end its exclusivity deal with AT&T, iPhone will be coming to Verizon (Yes, the much talked about Verizon iPhone).

Verizon iPhone Release Rumored At Year End Verizon Event

Rumors are strong that Verizon is planning to end the year on a high and it is being said that the carrier might launch the eagerly awaited Verizon iPhone 4 this year. Intomobile.com reports that according to leaked information, Verizon will start recruitment on a massive scale because the company is planning to double its retail staff in the majority of its retail stores across the US. The hiring is scheduled to begin within few weeks, leading to speculations that the company is gearing up to launch something really big in December. Verizon iPhone: The Reason Why AT&T Commissioned BlackBerry Torch?

Here is an interesting observation by Elizabeth Woyke that I came across in Forbes.com. The BlackBerry Torch, which was released yesterday by Research In Motion at a press event in Manhattan, may help AT&T, which will sell the phone in the US, to retain its customer base if Apple decides to give iPhone to another US carrier (Verizon iPhone is the reference here). AT&T told Forbes that Torch, the sliding touch-screen BlackBerry, is its most significant non-iPhone launch this year. The smartphone will go on sale on August 12 for $199.

Verizon iPhone: Can Android’s Growing Popularity Impact

We all know that Android phones are establishing themselves very quickly in the highly competitive smartphone market and the success of the Android phones can be gauged from the fact that they outsold the iPhone last quarter. The Android phones are very popular among those who are unwilling to leave Verizon’s network and are now tired of waiting for the release of the iPhone on Verizon (popular term being ‘Verizon iPhone’).

Verizon iPhone 4G: The Stage IS All Set

In an important development, the Federal Communications Commission has approved the first LTE (Long Term Evolution) hand set, the Samsung SCH-r900. We all know that Verizon, US’ largest carrier by subscription, is testing its LTE Network in Boston and Seattle. Is this a sign that we would soon see the release of an iPhone 4G on Verizon LTE network (Verizon iPhone 4G)? May be may be not.
