Demand For Verizon iPhone Unlikely To Be Reigned In By BlackBerry Torch

Speculations are strong that AT&T is positioning the BlackBerry Torch, the latest smartphone out of Canada-based handset maker Research In Motion, as a replacement for when the Big Blue finally loses exclusivity of its flagship device-the hugely popular Apple iPhone. Rumors are abound that once Apple will end its exclusivity deal with AT&T, iPhone will be coming to Verizon (Yes, the much talked about Verizon iPhone).

AT&T told Forbes that Torch, the sliding touch-screen BlackBerry, is its most significant non-iPhone launch this year. The smartphone will go on sale on August 12 for $199.

We all know that Android phones are establishing themselves very quickly in the highly competitive smartphone market and the success of the Android phones can be gauged from the fact that they outsold the iPhone last quarter. Verizon iPhone: The Story So Far And What To Expect Now

Speculations continue to be on an upswing about the possibility of a Verizon iPhone. The latest rumor states that a Verizon iPhone would come in January 2011. Who Needs Verizon iPhone When 73% iPhone Users Are Happy With AT&T

A recent survey done by The Yankee Group has revealed that most iPhone users are very happy with the service they are getting from AT&T, iPhone’s exclusive carrier in the US. The result must have come as a major relief for AT&T, which has always faced questions over not so satisfactory service. But it also raises a very pertinent question: Who are all those unhappy people who have been reportedly waiting for Verizon iPhone release? Apparently Verizon iPhone is one of the most searched terms on net and throughout rumors of iPhone coming to Verizon keep circulating. Its hard to believe that iPhone users are satisfied with AT&T when there is so much buzz about iPhone on Verizon. The Yankee Group said that 73 percent of iPhone users replied in positive for AT&T and 69 percent of smartphone users as a whole say they have no problem with their service provider. The survey results clearly suggest that AT&T’s performance is above average.
