A recent survey done by The Yankee Group has revealed that most iPhone users are very happy with the service they are getting from AT&T, iPhone’s exclusive carrier in the US. The result must have come as a major relief for AT&T, which has always faced questions over not so satisfactory service. But it also raises a very pertinent question: Who are all those unhappy people who have been reportedly waiting for Verizon iPhone release? Apparently Verizon iPhone is one of the most searched terms on net and throughout rumors of iPhone coming to Verizon keep circulating. Its hard to believe that iPhone users are satisfied with AT&T when there is so much buzz about iPhone on Verizon. The Yankee Group said that 73 percent of iPhone users replied in positive for AT&T and 69 percent of smartphone users as a whole say they have no problem with their service provider. The survey results clearly suggest that AT&T’s performance is above average.

The launch of T-Mobile’s iPhone will be followed by Verizon iPhone 4, a rumor that has plagued the web forums for months now. Reports of Apple granting iPhone contract to other carrier or multiple carriers come in the backdrop of declining popularity of AT&T services. The recent antenna issues in iPhone 4 added the burden on Apple Inc. to start looking for other options. It’s notable that Apple Inc has neither rejected nor confirmed reports.
