There are unconfirmed reports on technology blogs that Droid X is already running Android 2.2 Froyo update. There is a video of it running on Droid X also doing the rounds but as said, these are all unconfirmed reports.

Motorola Going To Fix Droid X Volume Issues Soon

Motorola has announced that a fix for Droid X’s reported volume issue for both the ringer and speakerphone is coming soon. The company announced that the fix in the form of volume increase would be coming in an “upcoming software release,” which points to the Android 2.2 upgrade. However, the company did not divulge any details about the release date. But, Droid X users might have to wait till early September to receive the Froyo upgrade, according to a message posted by a Motorola employee at the company’s official support forums.

Telecom titan Verizon is no doubt willing to focus more on Motorola Droids, Android tablets and LTE 4G services and it is unclear whether the carrier has Apple’s iPhone on its table or not.
