Motorola is reportedly all set to release its next Android-powered smartphone, the MB520 Kobe on AT&T’s network, referred to as mini Droid X by many. The new device is expected to take second place behind the Samsung Captivate and Motorola is taking the handset to various certification organizations including the WiFi Alliance and the UPnP Forum where it was given the designation “Kobe ATT”.

A survey conducted by Michigan-based market research firm Morpace has revealed that more than 50% of Verizon subscribers are willing to buy a Verizon iPhone. The survey showed that 51% of current Verizon subscribers were either “somewhat likely” or “very likely” to purchase a Verizon iPhone. The firm conducted poll of 1,000 American consumers conducted from July 15 to July 20.
