Motorola officially unveiled its new device- Motorola Defy three weeks ago and the handset was put on display by the company at the fall CTIA show in San Francisco so that people can know more about it. Motorola is claiming that Defy is a rugged handset, which is resistant to water and scratch.
The company also showed the promo video featuring fun-loving hipsters using the handset at a zany pool party in order to prove its point. The video showed that kids splashed a fair amount of water on the Defy while snapping photos but the phone was still working well.

The days of whining over the Android 2.1 operating system running on your Motorola Droid X are soon to end (next week to be exact), if latest reprts are to be believed. The Droid X Android 2.2 Froyo update is reportedly here and it is almost upon us. But these are unconfirmed reports and Verizon and Motorola have not issued any statements to this effect.

There is also an unofficial leaked verison available on the net but Motorola warns against using such an update. With a range of new smartphones like Samsung Fascinate and Motorola Droid X shining on the shelves of electronic showrooms, it’s becoming seemingly impossible to decide which one to buy.
