It has microSD support for up to 32 GB and has slot for 3.5mm headphone jack. The BlackBerry 9670 Style runs BlackBerry OS 6. RIM claims that the new smartphone has a talk time of 4.5 hours and has 10.5 days standby. It weighs 131 g. The BlackBerry 9670 Style has spacious, easy-to-type keyboard. The smartphone is bulky when open. It comes loaded with a new WebKit browser that produces more accurate web surfing.

Comparing the HP Slate 500 with an iPad, one would gauge a relatively smaller 8.9” screen. The pixel resolution is almost similar with a very minute difference. The Slate, though, carries a memory that is approximately 8 times that of the Apple iPad, but is intended to come at least $100 more than the Wi-Fi iPad.

The HP Slate is almost double the weight of a Samsung Galaxy Tab and also eats 2 hours from the 7 hour battery life of the Galaxy Tab. Video calling which is not supported by an Apple iPad comes with the Slate through its VGA camera.

While the HP Slate 500 runs on a 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z540 processor, the Samsung Galaxy Tab possesses a 1GHz ARM CortexA8 processor. Its 2 GB RAM is twice that of the Research in Motion’s PlayBook.
