Apple iPad Vs RIM PlayBook Vs Samsung Galaxy Tab: These days the tablet PC market is expanding very rapidly with all major companies getting ready with their own device to enter the market. On one hand we have Apple’s iPad, without doubt the best tablet in the market so far and clearly the market leader but iPad’s popularity and dominance is set to take a beating soon with the release of Samsung Galaxy Tab, RIM BlackBerry PlayBook, HP Slate 500 and some other tablet devices.
iPad debuted in April this year and more than two million units are already off the shelves so far. The iPad sports a nine inch screen and it is sleek and slender. It runs Apple’s in built OS- the iOS and is quite snappy. The iPad is powered by a 1GHz processor which makes the navigation quick. The iPad however, lacks camera and it does not support Adobe Flash.
BlackBerry PlayBook is seen as RIM’s answer to iPad and RIM claims that the device has been designed keeping in mind the use of business professionals. The PlayBook has a seven inch display and it comes loaded with dual cameras, one in the front and one in the rear. The front facing camera is for video calling. It runs a revamped version of BlackBerry 6 OS. It is powered by a 2 GHz processor and it is still unclear whether the device will be released via wireless provider or without contract.
Samsung Galaxy Tab is also looking a worthy competitor for Apple iPad. The Tab is expected to hit the market either late this year or early next year. The Tab will run Android 2.2 and will sport a seven inch screen. It will also have two cameras. The tab is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor.
